Approach

For applications that match your work perfectly

Software often falls short because building starts before it is clear what is really needed. Our design-driven development method does it differently.

With our teams, which in addition to developers consist of designers, business analysts, testers, and delivery leads, you look beyond just technology.

Together we put your users and processes at the center, translate them into smart designs, and build applications that are intuitive, scalable, and immediately deployable. Because making good apps takes human judgement.

Apps your users can’t wait to use

We refined our approach because traditional development is too slow for low-code. Our five-step process delivers the best user experience. Let us show you how.

Step 1

A prototype tested by your users in 5 days.

We start with a Design Sprint: an intensive week in which we work together with your team and users to build and test a working prototype. This way, we quickly know if the idea is right.

We immediately process what we learn from the tests. Then we convert the key points into your first backlog and do a technical check: where should the app run, and what does that mean for the approach?

5 must-haves for a successful project

"The recipe is simple: listen to your users, build on solid architecture and take shared ownership. That's how you get software that delivers value from day one."
Marcel Bos

Founder at Team Resilience

01
Driven by UX design

By first listening closely to users and creating prototypes, we know exactly what is needed before we start building with low-code. That saves time and money and gives users exactly what they need.

02
Building on solid software architecture

Our architects continuously analyse how new applications can fit seamlessly into your existing IT landscape. This solid architectural foundation keeps everything well integrated and ready to scale.

03
Deep expertise of the development platform

Because we know OutSystems inside out, we know exactly how to get the most out of the platform. That makes our applications faster, smarter and ready for the future.

04
Agile product management

Strong product management helps us get the most out of the speed of low-code. We make sure that speed is used to build the right functionality, based on real user needs.

05
A culture of teamwork and co-ownership

For us, everything starts with shared ownership. We take joint responsibility for the success of your project and hold ourselves to high standards. Open feedback and real teamwork are essential to how we work.

The benefits of our human-centered approach

Apps that are embraced and achieve results

Because we involve users from day one, they feel engaged and heard. As a result, they will gladly use your new application instead of creating Excel sheets to work around it.

Happy, engaged users

Our human-centered approach ensures that users actively think along and contribute to the further development of the application.

Decisions based on real needs

By closely involving users, we bring insights from their daily work to the surface and translate those into better decisions.

Build the right thing faster

By focusing on what users really need, we build solutions that work well right away and require little adjustment.

Together in 1 team

The people in your company know best how to work. We know everything about technology. By bringing your experts together with our UX designers, developers, and business analysts, we create an application that your users will enjoy using.

It's not about 0's and 1's - it's about people.

That is why we involve your people from the start. We ask them everything, observe how they do their work, and test all our ideas with them. And thanks to OutSystems, we quickly realize the application, it goes live, and we continue to learn through its use. This way, we create applications that people truly enjoy working with.

On time. Within budget. And with good results.

We have been doing this for 5 years now, and during that time we have grown into a team of 70 specialists, spread across Lisbon and Utrecht. We build solutions that do exactly what you need. On time, within budget, and better than expected. And if we deviate from the norm in IT? Fine, then we are happy to be the outlier.

How do you make business and technology collaborate better during software projects?

By experiencing something that works as quickly as possible. Talking about requirements gets bogged down in interpretation, because a planner means something different by "order" than a developer does. As soon as there is a screen with real data, someone points out what wouldn't work in real life, and the conversation is suddenly aligned. That is why we deliver in short cycles. Furthermore, it helps that our people have visitied the work floor before a single line of code was written. Anyone who has spent a morning sitting next to the planner has to do less guessing.

Hoeveel tijd vraagt een traject van ons als klant?

In any case we will need some time from the people who will be using your applications on a daily basis. At the start, we observe the work in the operation, and with new functionality, someone will click through it and point out what can be improved. These are brief moments that fit into a normal workday, and they are not optional: the software is built based on what your people show us. Beyond that, it's up to you. We regularly collaborate with our clients' teams, ranging from a single advising colleague to co-development. How much time that requires is something we determine together at the start.

What kind of companies does Team Resilience work for?

For companies where operations are the heart of the business. Trade, logistics, manufacturing, maritime, energy. Precisely the work with which such companies make a difference. How they plan, deliver, and help customers. Things that rarely fit into standard software. That is what we build for. Our clients include Interfood, Stedin, DAF Trucks, Royal Lemkes, and Global Automotive.

How much does a project with Team Resilience cost?

Custom work doesn't have a price list, so the honest answer is about how the price is determined. It depends on what we are going to build, and we determine that together first. As soon as that picture is clear, we provide a fixed price. We do this regularly, especially with custom work, because that way you know in advance what it will cost and what you will get when it is finished.

How is the security of our data managed?

Team Resilience is ISO 27001-certified, the international standard for information security. The foundation is also built into the platform: security, monitoring, and updates are handled by OutSystems, so that layer does not need to be built and maintained separately. On top of that, we agree with each client on who has access to which environment and which data.

When is OutSystems the right choice and when is it not?

OutSystems fits best with the systems your organization runs on. Planning, service, customer portals - everything that revolves around your ERP. For this type of software, a lot of the value lies post-delivery: growing with the organization, incorporating new requirements, and keeping things running smoothly. You don't have to manage the underlying layer yourself, as servers, updates, monitoring, and security are all handled by the platform. That time is redirected back to the application itself. For software that remains small and doesn't connect to anything else, this advantage doesn't outweigh the cost, and we will be the first to tell you so. We build that kind of software using AI-native tooling, without an underlying platform. Team Resilience is an OutSystems Elite Delivery Partner, one of only four in EMEA. We choose the platform where it fits, and we'll let you know when it doesn't.

What happens before building starts?

First, we visit the people who do the work. We observe on the operation floor, speak with planners, the service desk, and management, and identify where processes get stuck. For this phase, we collaborate with Studio Doppelgänger, which handles the design and requirements. Our developers regularly tag along. We believe developers who have seen a company from the inside build different software than those who only read a document with specifications. Development only starts once it is clear what is being built and why.

Who is on the team and where are they located?

A mixed Dutch-Portuguese team, with a fixed team per client. You have a dedicated point of contact and know the people working on your software by name. The time difference with Portugal is only one hour, so your Portuguese colleagues can easily participate in your stand-up.

How does Team Resilience handle existing systems such as ERP?

For processes that run the same way in every company, standard software is the logical place: your financial administration in your ERP, your HR affairs in your HR system. The work where your company makes the difference, like how you plan, how you deliver or how you help customers, rarely fits into that. We build custom software for that work. We connect it to your ERP and your other standard systems via APIs.

How quickly will a first prototype be ready?

A first prototype is ready within one to five days. Exactly how fast depends on how deep we go and whether we also test and validate it with the people who will be working with it. This way, you already know in the first week whether we are heading in the right direction.

Who owns the software that you build?

Yours. The application and the data are your property. The OutSystems license is registered in the name of your own organization, almost never ours. This means you are not tied to us to access your own software.

How does Team Resilience use AI in their work?

In two ways: in the building process itself and as part of the software we deliver. In development, AI mainly speeds up routine work, from test data to documentation. In the software, we build agents that take over tasks or collaborate with them, depending on what the work requires. For Interfood, for example, we built an agent in forty hours that prioritizes shipments, saving 1,150 hours in 2026. This won OutSystems' Agentic Competition.
