The challenge
Interfood is the connector between supply and demand in the dairy market.
Communication with their partners used to happen via email and phone, which meant they spent a lot of their valuable time on administration.
Documents and order information were scattered across inboxes, Excel files, and fragmented conversations. This made the process error-prone, time-consuming, and unclear, exactly what you don’t want in a market where speed is essential.

The solution
Together, we created a customer portal and back office powered by a single source of truth. We started the process of with a design sprint. Here we quickly found answers to key questions alongside experts from all disciplines.

The transformation
Contracts, orders, product values and documents are now all available on demand in Connect. No more copying Excel files: partners can register values in bulk themselves, which are automatically linked to the correct order.
Through Document Library, Connect’s back office, Interfood centrally manages and validates all information. Partners receive daily overviews of open tasks to make sure nothing is overlooked.
Documents are accessible per order and easy to request. Draft and final versions are clearly separated so the right information is always available.

The impact
Within a year and a half, Interfood onboarded 74% of their customers and suppliers onto their platform. Both apps are live for the EU hub, and the positive feedback proves their success. Connect has since been rolled out to suppliers, customers and warehouses. Time that was once spent on administration and searching for information is now used for working together and growth. The next step? Adding features to support communication with transport partners as well.
