The challenge

Stedin faces a major challenge. The Dutch energy grid is under immense pressure, with congestion threatening to disrupt the power supply. While we wait for expansions of the grid, Stedin must take action now. That's why we have developed a solution together to keep everyone's lights on: Piek.

The solution

This project took us into new territory, which called for careful analysis. Together with Stedin, we clarified their needs and worked out the details.

Even under pressure to deliver quickly, we teamed up with Stedin and their users to build an app that not only meets expectations today but is ready for the future.

The transformation

To tackle congestion issues, Piek pulls data from a wide range of systems. The amount of information can be overwhelming for end users. That’s why we designed the interface to show just the right amount of detail.

Users instantly know what needs to be done and when. No need to dig through multiple sources.

The impact

Piek is a prime example of learning by doing. In a time when the Dutch energy grid is under serious pressure, Piek helps keep the lights on for everyone. By collecting and analyzing data from the right systems, Stedin is gaining better insight into how to tackle congestion issues as efficiently as possible.

With a solid foundation in place, Stedin is now ready to further refine and expand Piek’s features and capabilities.
