Updated: Nov 17, 2020
Team Resilience keeps on growing and growing. Therefore it is time for another introduction! This time we asked Camiel, one of our amazing developers and graduate of our Outsystems Academy!
You’re a fairly new addition to the crayon box that is called Team Resilience. What colour would you be and why?
I would be the red crayon. As red is the colour of my sunday league football club, my favourite Eredivise club FC Utrecht and of course the colour of Team Resilience.
What are you known for in the office? (e.g. lame jokes, always on time etc.) Please give an example as well
I am always in for a chat at the coffee machine. Not only for work related conversations, but also have some fun and laughs with my colleagues discussing everything and nothing. I really started missing those small breaks during the pandemic, so now we do some digital ones.
I find it interesting to get to learn all about their business and discover new possible improvements.
What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
Currently I am working at a banking company where we are trying to automize a lot of the manual processes they are doing. I find it interesting to get to learn all about their business and discover new possible improvements. To find these improvements I get to talk with a lot of different people within the company to get an idea how they are currently working and what they think could be improved on. After development I often hear how happy they are with the improvements and that’s something I find very rewarding.
The biggest challenge I have recently encountered was starting a new assignment in a new company in the time of a pandemic.
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve encountered so far?
The biggest challenge I have recently encountered was starting a new assignment in a new company in the time of a pandemic. In a normal situation you would get to go to an office and get introduced. This is a nice start because you get an idea who does what in an organisation. When everybody is working from home this is not that easy!
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
I am now following the Dutch Netflix original Undercover. The series follows a drug lord from Brabant living in Belgium. I find it interesting to see a show taking place so close to where I grew up instead of most of the shows on Netflix taking place in the U.S..
